Acupuncture returns the body to its
natural state
of balance and harmony.

How it works?

Acupuncture points are areas of concentrated nerve bundles, blood vessels and lymphatic vessels used to stimulate the peripheral nervous system, In simple terms it's like physical therapy for the nervous system. Modern science has been able to measure the electrical charge at these points on the body, Stimulation of the points will have a pain-relieving effect by causing the release of the body's natural opiates. Research has also shown that Acupuncture can boost the immune system by raising the level of white blood cells, interferon's and antibodies in the bloodstream. Acupuncture with electro-stimulation can release the body's own stem cells into the bloodstream. According to the Chinese view of health that can be summarized in 4 aspects of what the body needs to be functioning to the best of it's ability is; oxygen delivery to body tissues, vascular system, organ system and the nervous system.

Blood circulation is of primary importance to maintaining good health, as well as healing illness or pain. In fact, “blood stagnation” is the primary or #1 cause of disease and illness. This is especially true for chronic health conditions, where dysfunctions have accumulated over time.

When blood flow to a particular area of the body is obstructed for some reason, that area will be negatively impacted. It will also make it harder for that area to heal.

Acupuncture treatments are designed to assure the proper flow of blood, and thus all of the healing contents of the blood, to certain areas of the body. This promotes the healing reactions that need to occur, essentially allowing the body to “heal itself”. Acupuncture is beneficial to people of all ages from the very young to the elderly in all stages of disease.

The aim is to regulate the imbalances that you experience in your body and mind whether it is due to emotional stress, physical trauma, improper diet, environmental factors or genetic predispositions. This is done through with Acupuncture, Chinese Medicine and other modalities.

Receiving regular treatments could limit your chance of developing chronic disease and debilitating symptoms in the future. Some patients receive monthly treatment to stay in balance. At minimum, four treatments a year at the change of seasons are very effective in supporting the immune system and keeping one at optimum health.
